I’m Tom Whitelam, an apprentice-trained plumbing and heating engineer serving York and the surrounding area. I run T.J. Whitelam, also known as York Heating Solutions, as an independent business. From your first enquiry through to the work itself, you can speak directly to me about your property, your priorities and the practical details of the job.
My work covers everyday plumbing repairs, boiler servicing and replacement, central heating installations and bathroom projects. Whether you need a leaking tap repaired or are planning a new heating system, I take time to explain the options and the work involved. My aim is careful workmanship, clear communication and a tidy finish.
My training includes NVQ Level 2 and City & Guilds qualifications, alongside BPEC qualifications in energy efficiency, solar thermal and unvented hot water storage. This background supports my work across plumbing, central heating and hot water systems. I continue to build on that knowledge through training and refresher courses.
I work across York and nearby villages, with customers elsewhere in Yorkshire including Harrogate, Knaresborough, Wetherby, Thirsk and Ripon.
